Green shares how he is leveraging the game of golf to connect the Black community, support HBCU students, and raise awareness about domestic and intimate partner violence. He highlights BIG’s signature programs, including clinics for beginners, youth and caregiver outings, and the annual October HBCU Golf Tournament, which serves as both a celebration and a fundraiser to support violence prevention programs at Howard University and Spelman College.

Golf as a Tool for Social Change
Through initiatives like the HBCU Golf Tournament, Bison Impact Group not only supports students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities but also introduces more Black communities to the game of golf. Proceeds directly benefit:
- Howard University’s Interpersonal Violence Prevention Program (IVPP)
- Spelman College’s Violence Prevention & Intervention Program (VP&I)
Bison Impact Group Signature Programs
Bison Impact Group runs year-round initiatives that combine golf, community, and advocacy:
- BIG Boot Camp – A beginners’ golf clinic designed to make the sport more accessible.
- Soulful Sundays – Weekly golf clinics and 9-hole outings to build community.
- Skip Day for Kids & Caregivers – An annual April event during Child Abuse Prevention and Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
- HBCU Golf Tournament – A major October fundraiser during Domestic Violence Awareness Month and HBCU Homecoming season.
These programs raise awareness while providing tangible support to students and families.
