In this episode of “The Male Perspective,” Lana sits down with Danny L. Ross—Author, Speaker, and Psychotherapist. With more than twenty years of experience, Danny offers tailored counseling services for individuals, couples, and families. He is recognized as a prominent expert in the areas concerning Black families, men, and youth, and has presented to many local and national organizations on various subjects, including how to support Black students for academic success, mental health challenges in the Black community, mental wellness among Black men, and improving family communication to strengthen relationships.
Through the extensive array of services and educational materials offered by “The Messages” platform, he strives to dismantle the negative narratives pushed by “them” that obstruct our greatness and fullest potential, while encouraging exploration and the rewriting of healthier narratives.

“The Male Perspective” is hosted by Lana Reid, the founder of Conversations in Color, a nonprofit 501(c)3 grassroots organization dedicated to providing uplifting and community building spaces of dialogue for Black voices.
